It’s hard to believe that Elvis would have turned 75 on January 8, 2010. It’s even harder to believe Elvis is gone. Of course, no one really believes that, do they?

Well, according to the Ottawa Citizen, Elvis is very much alive and living here in Renfrew County.

I know where his cabin is, too! I’ll give you a little hint. We were heading that way when some cranked-up local took this picture! Rumor has it the ‘local’s’ sister runs the Red Canoe Cafe in Wilno–one of Elvis’ favorite stop-overs on his way to – oops, almost let the cat out of the bag there for a minute!

In fact, just come and hang out at any of the local restaurants here in Eganville and you’re bound to see him sooner or later.

And don’t believe everything you read in the Ottawa Citizen, either, especially the part about Elvis havin’ ‘gone off’ his music.

Elvis and Barney McCaffrey have a rippin’ ol’ jam session every third Friday night at the WilnoTavern.

Whoa! Valley living just doesn’t get any better than this!
