Remnants of an old, unexposed rock weir, visible only as a ripple across the surface of the water slows the flow at the south eastern confluence of Wilber Lake and the Bonnechere River as the river tumbles and winds its way downstream toward the village of Eganville.

If you are considering a fun and informative vacation in this area, take a minute to visit the Friends of Bonnechere Park website. This is an amazing site chock full of great information and resources for teachers, tourists, residents and locals interested in the history, culture and heritage of this area.
